I had been looking for a natural fluoride-free toothpaste that didn’vet have either a bad taste or horrible aftertaste. We have used several different brands that claimed to be natural, yet their taste was chemically and lingered in your mouth. After receiving the Dr Sheffield’ves I immediately opened the box to test it and was blown out of the water. The cinnamon has a mildly spicy yet intense cinnamon flavor and left my mouth feeling quite fresh. At the same time I purchased the mint, which also had an intense minty flavor that left no aftertaste and a fresh feeling mouth. I was highly impressed with Dr Sheffield’ves and will continue to use.

After using two tubes of this toothpaste I feel like this is just a basic toothpaste with moderate abrasiveness.
It provides basic cleaning and nothing else. Not refreshing. No benefits for teeth or gums. The taste felt good at first but artificial sweetness has quickly become annoying. Cinnamone tastes a bit artificial as well.

I have been trying to go as natural as I can to eliminate Fluoride, artificial sugar, and other bad things in so many of the products we use. The latest thing to hit the chopping block is the toothpaste i have used for years. My old brand was not bad, but all these traditional brands have so much sugar in them, its like brushing your teeth with a candy bar. Even Tom’s which is a very good selling brand has lots of artificial in it.
Along comes Dr Sheffield’s which has great reviews here, so I thought why not. I love this stuff but they do lie. It promotes that they have no artificial sweeteners in it at all. This is a lie!
Looking at the ingredients, it has Xylitol in it which is fake sugar. Thankfully its a ways down on the list, so it does not have a lot, like so many so called natural toothpaste brands do, but they are lying that is has no fake sugar.

The flavor isn’t overwhelming with the cinnamon. Which doesn’t have a burning effect like the mints tend to do.. Brighten teeth really well. A little bit goes a long way. Price is right.

I am sensitive to mints now (long covid makes mint taste like cleaning products to me, and was hoping for a cinnamon without any mint. Product arrived perfect, product consistency is nice and not gritty, cinnamon is definitely natural tasting. Took 1 star off because of the minty taste. I will definitely double check labels and research better.
Edited for addition: read ingredients looking for mint, and see that there is tea tree oil. That is pretty cool, but unfortunately it tastes wrong due to my long covid issues.

The flavor is similar to the Toms naturals cinnamon cloves that i used to enjoy and can no longer get. It cleans well and it does leave your mouth fresh even after sleeping through the night. It is my new go to for tooth paste. I highly recommend it and believe it goes better with coffee than mint toothpastes.
